Tape Cassette 2 is an audio plugin designed to replicate the warmth, noise, and essence of vintage tape cassettes. A follow-up to its predecessor, Tape Cassette 1, this updated plugin boasts a refined interface and significant improvements under the hood.
The inclusion of a new selectable Type 1 Cassette Impulse Response (IR) adds depth to the auditory experience. With enhancements made to the saturation algorithm, wow & flutter engine, and the incorporation of real sampled tape noise, Tape Cassette 2 delivers a rich vintage sound profile that is both inviting and authentic. Users benefit from two VU meters for streamlined audio monitoring and integrated oversampling functionality.
Whether applied across an entire track or selectively on individual channels to introduce movement, texture, and warmth, Tape Cassette 2 allows users to infuse their audio projects with a classic touch. Alternatively, by exploring its parameter settings, users can push the boundaries of tape limitations toward more avant-garde sonic landscapes, making it a versatile sound design tool.

Tape Cassette 2 serves as a standalone application and also functions as an AUv3 plugin compatible with iOS and iPadOS hosts like GarageBand.
